Outsourcing - The Solution to Getting Your Business Back on Track

Let me ask you a really important question, are you making all the money you promised yourself when you started your Online Business?
Are you enjoying all the Free Time you promised you would spend with your friends and family?
Or are you more likely working 12 to 14 hours a day,7 days a week, yet still only making $100 to $200 Dollars a week
Let’s be brutally honest, the only thing that’s growing rapidly is the size of your Credit Card Bills, am I right?
You were promised a leisurely life by the Gurus, get up when you want, work when you want to and buy all the cars and houses you want when your not on one of your 6 to 8 Vacations a year of course!
Yet everyday your e mail inbox gets stuffed with stories of Guys and Girls making more money in a week than you’ve made in the last 5 years, it just doesn’t seem fair does it?
And there you are in your spare bedroom office thinking maybe it’s me, maybe I can’t do it, maybe it was just a dream that’s ended in tatters
I think it’s time to let you into some of the real reasons why the Gurus are so successful while you just get ever deeper into debt
First there’s the learning curve, the help Video’s told you the task would take 5 minutes, so why are you still up at 3.00am 6 hours later
I’ll let you into a secret, we have all done it, looking for the answers but only getting at best 25% of the story that you need to finish the job
But I think it’s time to take you on one side and have a quiet chat, you see when you learnt to drive you didn’t also learn how to build your car or how to service it, replace the Tyres or how to repair the roads that you drive on or to maintain the traffic signals
No, in effect you outsourced all of that to a range of experts, all equally skilled in their own fields you didn’t need to know exactly how everything worked either, you just had to keep a watchful eye on things
And yet when people come to run an internet business they try and do everything themselves, well guess what it adds years to your projects, costs you a fortune as you get bogged down becoming a professional prospect instead of of a top line Project Manager
If you really feel the Gurus do all of these things themselves I think you need to go to the bottom of the garden tonight and have a long chat with the Tooth Fairy!
You see whilst you are endlessly bogged down polishing your project 3 years later they have moved seamlessly onto yet another successful launch
Lets by honest, if you were going to take your business from $100 to $200 Dollars a week to $5000 Dollars a week, you couldn’t suddenly start working 2100 hours a week could you?
Sir Stuart Rose doesn’t work on the shop floor at Marks & Spencer’s, nor does Sir Terry Leahy work in your local Tesco’s, do they spend time on the shop floor with their staff and talking to their customers, of course they do
But for everything else they build a high quality team, from the people who stack the shelves right up to the boardroom, can you imagine them sweeping the floors, clearing the trolleys in the Car Park, stocking the shelves, hell no
Do they know how it’s done, yes of course they take a very keen interest in the whole process, this leaves them clear to have a vision of where their businesses should be going next and that’s what I have to get you to do next
So I think we are starting to see that we have two key issues going on here, one is the Technician in all of us stopping us from achieving our real goals and our true potential and in the report I go through some solutions to that, I must warn you that unless you take these steps nothing will change for you
Secondly I discuss how to successfully outsource your business, you must in effect become the Project Manager of your business, all the time you work in your business you are not the Owner you are in effect an employee
Discover why countless Thousands of businesses are Outsourcing right now, get back your free time starting today, feel free to give my Report to your friends and business associates

Toshiba's Strategy Toward China Should be Adjusted

Recall the relevant legislation is inadequate, leading to many problems in the global recall, only exceptional cases even made the Chinese market. However, because the law can not be a sound can not escape responsibility.
Toshiba has announced the recall 41,000 units SatelliteT series notebooks, mainly because of overheating risks that may cause the user burns. It is worth mentioning that the recall area mainly for Europe and the United States, Dan China is not in The recall Zhinei, Chinese users, Toshiba Zhi Shi in China's official Web show some solutions - to upgrade 2.70 version of the BIOS.
According to reports, Toshiba has received 129 reports related to incidents, including two minor injuries not requiring medical care, the report of a small amount of property damage and two reports. However, for the reasons in China do not recall, Toshiba China, given this explanation: "China has not received the relevant laptop because of heat damage to property report and, therefore, will not recall these same models in the domestic notebook products."
It is understood that took place in notebook had quality problems, mostly concentrated in such as motherboards, graphics cards, displays and other important parts, but also due to defects in product design for small parts on the overall damage caused by the phenomenon of fault. Toshiba, the awarding of this was due to "certain batches of products in use when the power adapter, in a very small risk of overheating may occur and may lead to the shell near the DC input jack deformation. So far, Toshiba computer network (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has not received any report on this issue; but when this problem occurs, if the touch to the skin near the DC input jack will be burning feeling. "industry experts believe the upgrade method is not insurance:" By upgrading BIOS to some extent, optimize system power management module, and enhanced security protection factor; but the main problem lies in the hardware on, we still need parts replacement to completely eliminate hidden dangers ".
Toshiba remedy seems only superficial and does not completely solve the problem. Similarly, the user, why hurt by the loss of foreign customers can "recall", but users in China as not "burst" accident would not adopt a "recall" mean? Toshiba arrogance of the Chinese market, or have tired of the Chinese market and give up on themselves?
Look at Toshiba's development in recent years seem to keep up with the pace of market performance is also slightly weakness. Lack of product characteristics, innovation is not enough, the price advantage is not obvious, in addition, a significant decrease as propaganda, brand influence, have suffered, many of its products in the Chinese market and even slowly being marginalized. S Center for Research on internet consumption during the first half of 2010 rankings in notebook brand Guan Zhu, Toshiba You Yu Jishu introduce new products Sudu slower, plus Jiage obvious advantages, factors that promote the efforts Buzu Deng Ying Xiang, Paimingyiran Zai low hover. Toshiba has recorded the first out of ten, but the attention, while less than 5%, even still after the Shenzhou. In this case, the Toshiba To comeback, sweeping away the tide is still quite difficult.
Years of weakness may lead to Toshiba, which has been struggling to give up on themselves the face of Chinese consumers, so the notebook market in China after the incident broke out not recall it appears logical. However I believe that, based on Toshiba's industry and technology are still good, in China also has accumulated a certain degree of brand recognition. Once upon a time, "Toshiba, Toshiba, Toshiba's new era" and "ok karaoke recorder, Hitachi's 777" and other Japanese popular in river north and south line appliance ads, at that time, Toshiba's products in people's eyes can be said to fashion, a synonym for high technology, is also a symbol of high quality. But today, if they give up, can not help but very unfortunate. Toshiba may wish to take a go, full attention from Chinese consumers, understand their demand characteristics, re-adjust strategy in China, could also pump out a new world.

LED Industry Patent Strategy Research and Reference Examples

1, in order to draw lessons from history
Patents in the LED industry strategy, you can refer to a variety of experiences and lessons that have occurred.
For example, Nichia Corporation in the last ten years has been through more than LED litigation, as other companies in the field of LED based technology research and development continue to input the number of patent applications submitted by more and more the number of authorized patents are also increasing and thus Nichia's patent litigation makes the increasing failure rate, resulting in the respective patent and the company reached a settlement. This is still in the majority of Chinese LED industry chain downstream of the LED business, this is a typical success story.
As noted above, the development of Taiwan's LED business process also gives the Chinese mainland China LED companies important lessons on the one hand a lot of money in the United States Much enabling patent, on the other hand still needs a lot of people to foreign patent patent licensing fees, is this not a dangerous precedent, warning LED enterprises in China do not always take follow-type strategy that has been controlled by others.
Another example is the impact of 337 series of cases, etc., many of these cases, will not start in this narrative.
2 to innovation-based
With the continuous growth of LED market, LED enterprises continue to grow, but this will inevitably face two aspects: First, people preferred rovide water for fish Celue foreign patents, patent litigation through to grab a solvent for many years Chinese companies profit; the other is the influx of the growing LED market companies, leading to lower profit margins continue. Meanwhile, the Chinese LED industry, mainly concentrated in the technical level is not high in the downstream industries, small scale enterprises, technology and equipment behind, innovative patented technology from IFC Hexinzhuanli of Zhang Ai, Zhi Zao long-term cost advantage, profit place smaller and smaller.
Therefore, China LED technology innovation enterprises should be strengthened to increase the quantity and quality of patents, patent early-warning capacity training to improve IPR creation, application, protection and management level, thus avoiding the patent barriers to foreign enterprises. Enterprises to apply for patents, can effectively protect and utilize the patented technology. At the same time, you can also abroad on the basis of patented technology, through its core patents to improve and enhance technical effect, and thus its external patent applications, it is also an innovative model to enhance their strength.
On this basis, LED enterprises can deal with according to law and legal proceedings involving intellectual property infringement, and in accordance with the above example, the best Chinese companies to study advanced LED technology, accurately judging market trends, planning to complete the patent application, so as to have access to key patents for the Chinese LED industry occupied the commanding heights LED patent.
For example, an LED company, in different stages of enterprise development, can develop different patent strategies. Patent strategy is best to take the lead in corporate planning strategy, the enterprise technology project before the project began to patent search and found the patent barriers, to avoid patent trap, avoid products with patent rights of others, thus guiding technology through patent research and development planning planning direction. Patent strategy must be carried out, can not focus only quantity regardless of quality, simple patent can never bring the market value for the LED business. Patent strategy is focused on, operators can make a real economic benefits of the patent in order to achieve value for enterprises to bring the patent.
3, the law shall prevail
According to the principle of national sovereignty, national patent laws on patent protection and there are many different specific operations. For example, the interpretation of patent rights, patent protection of the interests and so on, China LED companies avoid patent barriers, should focus on regional patent.
For example, the United States claims to explain the scope of protection around Xianding system, that patent protection entirely by the claims of the text Queding, Bu Nengzuo Kuo Tai explained, was charged with infringement claims Bixuzhongfu reproduction Liao Zhong records of Quanbujishu features, was the view that within the scope of patent protection into. China LED companies can book through the rights demands a clear understanding of the relevant patents to the scope of protection, Bubi for random speculation, so you can focus on product design patent circumvention Kaolv; same time, U.S. law Shuyu case France, the former's sentence case for Hou have a decisive impact, and therefore before the study can be achieved in all cases to circumvent the patent.
In another example, central Europe and China are usually limited by the system, that is in the understanding and interpretation of the scope of the claims, the claims stated in the basic core as the center, can be expanded outward to explain the scope of patent rights is not limited to requirements of the literal meaning of patent protection can provide a wide, this has led to the patent protection boundary is always fuzzy state, according to the claims can not accurately determine the scope of patent protection.
Therefore, not patented in China, LED technology can be directly applied in the domestic market or export to not patent protected.
Moreover, China LED companies need to selected according to the value of the patent application for a patent countries, such as whether the patent application in China only? The need to apply in other countries patent? The need for PCT international patent application by way of? Recommendations China LED business in accordance with its target market, select the appropriate country patent planning and layout, access and quality of patents with a certain amount.
4 to union-based
In summary, the Chinese company's patented power LED is still relatively small, both to external strategy - to buy permits, or to internal strategy - technology innovation, patent applications, we need to spend considerable time and resources to accumulate power; However, the opponents are always in the wings, hard to imagine that they would leave adequate China LED business development time and technology space.
Therefore, in the face of foreign powers, going it alone is definitely not the best way, a better response is, by association or alliance to jointly deal with the establishment of intellectual property infringement and litigation. Specifically, the establishment of a substantial Intellectual Property Alliance, a joint of some domestic enterprises with IPR advantages, including the number of patents and patent management advantages edge enterprises will form China's LED business together an intellectual property cross-licensing alliance so as to avoid Woli Dou.
This basis, also be considered through the development of China's LED product performance standards, appropriate increase LED into the domestic market of the threshold, Zheng Qu achieved through standard specifications and the foreign Qi Ye's patent cross-license.

How Successful Businesses Track Their Inventory?

Submitted By: Neil T Jones

Asset Tracking Systems for Businesses
Often a company or a business house suffers huge financial losses when they fail to manage and keep track of all their assets. However huge a company’s assets would be, the losses can be visible if assets are left unattended.
Even if a company endeavors to keep an eye on all its assets and their worth, maintaining a record using traditional methods often proves a Herculean task for them. Recording some additional information related to the assets such as their location, maintenance costs, type of use etc is virtually impossible using traditional methods. But nowadays asset tracking solutions are available to help companies overcome such limitations of asset management. These solutions are very much efficient to provide valuable information of an asset such as its location, the period of possession with the company, its maintenance costs, its depreciation value etc.
These solutions are available as handheld devices or they can be computer based as well. They help companies in managing all types of assets, whether fixed or movable, with the help of a barcode or a unique character assigned to them. A barcode allotted to an asset is more preferable due to their great benefits in auditing. A barcode can be identified more easily.
An asset tracking solution offers various advantages to a business such as:
•A business can trace its assets using a name, address, or business type.
•The depreciation of assets over a period of time can be easily computed.
•It’s possible to determine the costs and expenses related to the assets.
•A detailed report can be generated about a given asset.
•Reduces unnecessary expenses of physical visiting of the assets, time and again.
•It saves time too, as everything is listed.
•Keeps the business informed about the assets acquired formerly and thus minimizes losses.
•Minimizes borrowings due to not having earlier sanctions
•Improved resources management and thus a maintained budget.
•No hassles in starting due to an easy inventory system.
These highly advantageous asset tracking solutions are available in various types in the market and a business needs to select one according to its requirements. Few popular asset tracking solutions are enumerated below for a business to take a decision:
1.Asset tracking solution powered by software: Software installed in a computer can easily serve the purpose of an asset tracking system. Such a system can be connected to a centralized monitoring location with the help of an IP connection or through a modem. This system can also keep track of the computer usage as well. The database will keep information log about the computer usage and whenever the computer is connected, it can be monitored easily.
2.Tracking through software: There are a few dedicated monitoring software that help businesses to manage their software related investments. Such software helps to avoid penalties and fines that a business may have to pay in case of non-compliance to the assets laws set by the government and other authorities.
3.Barcode Systems: A barcode system typically includes barcode, barcode scanners, tags and PDAs. They are perfect for asset tracking with their capabilities of maintenance and valuation of assets. They offer various functions on the basis of their location.
4.GPS Solutions: These are in the form of a two-way satellite technology which is helpful in navigating assets and vehicles.
5.Proximity Tagging: This is very useful in case of vehicles. It connects vehicles with an access control system and prevents stealing of vehicles.
If we wish to take best benefits of an asset tracking solution, finding the most suitable solution should be our goal. The following features available with a solution will help a business to identify best asset tracking solution for their needs:
1.Navigation Capability: The interface outline and design makes it clear the simplicity or complexity in navigating a given asset tracking system. This feature helps to evaluate the entire setting of the whole system.
2.Asset Management Features: This feature gives an idea of the depreciation tools, asset editing aspects, splitting assets and other important features like barcode scanning etc.
3.Integration: The integration of a solution reveals the ease and ability of the system to incorporate other programs such as tax software, GL programs and additional accounting systems.
4.Report generation: This feature gives the idea of the capacity of the solution to generate customized reports. A solution should have unique writing attributes, apart from standard schedules and forms.
5.Help and Support features: A solution, intact with in-built help features, helps the users and provides them with the latest updates, whenever required.
Asset tracking solutions are very important for the businesses helping them to manage their assets and keep control on related expenses and costs. They help maintain a record of every transaction. This is very useful in reducing future costs, since all information remain stored and can be used in future, quite aptly.

CRM Software - Comparing Microsoft Dynamics CRM to Salesforce

CRM Software solutions are an integral part of the sales, marketing and customer service of most organisations. Today, CRM Software dwells far further than these functions to manage all business requirements. This has been termed by the people at Microsoft as xRM – (x) anything Relationship Management. Choosing which solution is right for your company is not easy and often companies compare different CRM offerings.
Two of the major CRM software applications on the market today are Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Salesforce.
There was a time with these two CRM software applications that the choice was more black and white. You either looked at software deployed in-house (Microsoft Dynamics CRM) or the software-as-a-service model (Salesforce).
Now that Microsoft has moved into the cloud with their software as a service model and Salesforce now has a development platform with its “Force” offering your options are now blurred.
Salesforce was founded in 1999 with a vision to create an on-demand information management service that would replace traditional enterprise software technology. Salesforce calls itself “the enterprise cloud-computing company”. Sales Cloud™ and Service Cloud™ are Salesforce’s applications for sales and customer service. Their approach to the cloud computing deployment model has led to them developing the force.com cloud platform that allows developers and users to build business applications on top of the Salesforce offering.
Microsoft Dynamics CRM, created by Microsoft product team with vast resources was designed with a long-term vision that will allow Customers to use CRM with multiple Microsoft products and choose deployment options to meet organisational needs.
IT researcher Springboard found Australian and New Zealand was already the most mature market for SaaS applications in the Asia-Pacific region.
According to BRW Magazine the market is tipped to grow 45% a year in Australia and New Zealand from $UA 1.7 billion in 2008 to $US7.7 billion by 2012. The magazine also referred to customer relationship management software as the most popular SaaS application (35 percent) and that “companies in Australia are using SaaS because it’s cheaper, rather than because it’s easier to use. Only 9 percent cited “ease of use” as the reason for choosing SaaS.
Choice and Flexibility:
With a multitenant CRM solution, Microsoft Dynamics CRM offers any number of deployment options, depending on your needs. On-demand, on-premise, and partner-hosted models are available for Microsoft Dynamic CRM. If your deployment requirements change so too can your CRM software deployment options as each deployment option is built on the same modern architecture and data model.
For example, you can take your configurations and data hosted by Microsoft and move to In-House or to a Microsoft Partner web based CRM software hosted model. Salesforce platform offers SaaS by the Cloud and you don’t own the software and configurations. If you want to change to an in-house solution you need to move to another CRM application. You need to factor the cost of getting your data out of Salesforce.
Depending on the level of subscription you purchase for Salesforce there have been reports of your data being held hostage. This is, depending on your level of subscription you need to upgrade your subscription in order to export your data.
Cost:
Salesforce claims to cost significantly less but Microsoft Dynamics CRM insists that the comparison is not for like services. A-la-carte pricing that is additional to potential price hikes at contract renewal time can significantly affect the total cost of Salesforce. When assessing comparable online products between the two opponents, Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online is available for less than 50% of the Salesforce fee. The latest pricing in the USA indicates that “Microsoft CRM [Online] runs $44-59 per user per month, compared to $125 for Salesforce” Professional
Edition.
Entry price for Salesforce is cheaper but if you want more functionality you obviously have to pay more. With Microsoft CRM you have access to the complete system from the moment you first purchase. Your purchase decision should never be based on solely on price as its only one component in the decision making process.
Those that buy first time around on price usually call back 6-24 months later asking for help. From personal experience decision makers who purchase solely on price first time around re-purchase the second time around on service. To compare in-house versus hosted pricing you need to calculate over a 3-5 year period and not just 1 year.
Ownership of Data:
Salesforce, as a software-as-a-service provider, does not own the data collected by its customers. Instead, its data centres are outsourced to Equinix, a third party company in the USA and Singapore. With Microsoft CRM for in-house, and partner hosted options, customers have full control over the security and physical location of their data. You can swap and take your data between these options.
Microsoft CRM Online hosted by Microsoft will be released in Australia late 2010 and the data will be hosted in Singapore. Again, you will have the ability to move from hosted to in-house but the online model will have some restrictions around customisation code. In order for Salesforce customers to get development platform capabilities they must buy the unlimited version.
Ease of Use
Microsoft Dynamics CRM is designed for easy user adoption because of its similarity and compatibility with Microsoft Office and Outlook. Simply put, it is designed to minimize the need for training, reduce application switching, and produce high productivity. With the launch of Microsoft CRM 5 or 2011 its release name), Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010 the GUI (interface) between the three product suites becomes very similar in look and feel. This provides users with an easy to learn experience and greater chance of user uptake.
Salesforce graphical interface is modern and should be easy to use for most users. The integration to Microsoft Outlook and Office is reported as not as strong as Dynamics CRM especially for MS Excel and Outlook.
Those using Google Mail will find Salesforce to their liking.
Both Salesforce and Dynamics CRM have similar modules including sales force automation, customer service and support, marketing automation, document management, contract management, product catalogue management and reports. Although each module for each product has its strengths and weaknesses side by side you need to evaluate each application module against your business requirements (and not user likeability).
Often an organisation short lists three CRM applications to be presented to its users. Evaluation should not be based heavily (if at all) on the users liking the look and feel of the graphical interface. The users of an organisation tend to agree on one CRM application as by nature we feel most comfortable with what we already know. If you ask a salesperson who has been using a paper diary for 30 years, what is better? A paper based or CRM system the answer is always paper! Over the years I have witnessed three different systems put in front of users at different organisations and there is never a clear winner for the CRM application chosen.
At present, Salesforce has a lot of easy to use business add-on products for its core offerings built on its force.com platform. Microsoft has a host of ISV Partners who have built add-on products to Microsoft CRM but it’s not as easy to find these add-on’s spread out across the globe on various websites. Microsoft has just launched PinPoint that allows you to search globally for Partner software solutions. Also, Microsoft CRM Dynamics Online does not provide the same access to write custom code in a sandbox because Microsoft did not want outside code in its own application, but with Microsoft Azure, ISVs can execute their own code.
Access to CRM and Email
Microsoft CRM is available either through a web browser, through a mobile device or through a plug-in to MS Outlook. Salesforce integrates with Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, or Google App’s. Salesforce will run on a mobile device, through a web browser and if you want some level of Email (Outlook, Lotus Notes, or Google App’s) integration, however you will still need to download and install a Salesforce connector.
Scope and Support
According to Wikipedia, Salesforce offers support for 16 languages, while Microsoft Dynamics CRM offers support for 25. Microsoft Dynamics CRM’s ecosystem includes 750,000 solutions partners; 2,200 users groups, and 400 community web sites globally. Standard support included in Salesforce’s subscription fee allows for a 2 business day response time. With Microsoft, support is dependent on the licensing module used to purchase the software and the support offered by a Microsoft CRM Partner. You can choose from ad-hoc through to dedicated support.
The Future and Investments
It has been reported in online publication The Inquirer that Microsoft will spend US$9.5 billion dollars in 2010 on research and development making it the largest R&D technology spender in the world.
In 2008, Salesforce spent $63.8 million, or 8% of its revenue, on research and development, much of which went towards expanding the Salesforce's cloud computing abilities. In addition, 91% of salesforce's revenue comes from subscription and support fees from their cloud computing services.
The CEO of Zoho, Sridhar Vembu first made this good point in April 2008 by noting the disparities in R&D and sales & marketing spending by Salesforce. Using the financial data from the last 12 months, Salesforce's sales and marketing spending of $605 million was almost 5 times its R&D spending of $131 million. It has been reported in businessinsider.com that Google, R&D spending of $2.8 billion was almost 1.5 times that of its S&M expense of $2 billion.
There is no doubt Salesforce is a leader in the SaaS market. The question will be whether the heavy weights including Microsoft (with Azure and BPOS) and Google with its GoogleApps MarketPlace will be able to stay in the game as the heavy weights begin gaining heavy market share in the cloud.
SaaS versus In-House
A note on SaaS versus In-House deployment. "In 2009, within enterprise applications, SaaS represented 3.4 per cent of total enterprise spending, slightly up from 2008 at 2.8 per cent," said David Cearley, vice president of Gartner. This market will reach $8.8 billion in 2010, according to the company's forecasts.
From a market perspective, most of the spending for SaaS is occurring in the content, collaboration communication, and customer relationship management markets. Collectively, they represented 65 per cent of the global enterprise applications software market in 2009. Many of the bad practices that occurred in the on premises world are now moving their way into SaaS.
The biggest example is shelfware. "Shelfware-as-a-service is the concept of paying for a software subscription that is not being accessed by an end user," said Cearley. "This most commonly occurs in large organisations, but it could happen to any company, especially those that have downsized their workforce, or one that has oversubscribed to trigger a volume discount." "SaaS may not have delivered on its early grand promises — of the current SaaS deployments we estimate that a total of 90 per cent of SaaS deployments are not pay-per use — but it has reenergised the software market and added choice," Cearley said.
First Steps in Choosing Your CRM Solution
Your first step in determining which solution is right for your company is to document your CRM requirements. Secondly, research to see what CRM applications are going to meet your requirements. Third, bring in a CRM consultancy firm and/or CRM Vendor to discuss your requirements and demonstrate their knowledge and application to you. Whether you go hosted or in-house should always come after you’ve gone through the above steps.

Guide on Effective Small Business Accounting Tips

Joseph Pressley
One of the means wherein you can profit a certain amount of money is by venturing into business. If you are still a novice in this kind of field then you might want to start with a small business first. You must be prepared with a lot of obligations that you have to fulfill before you will finally decide to start one. In order to succeed in this endeavor, you must consider and build a good and strong accounting system. In order to do that, here are some tips.
The first thing that you must do is to get a reliable accountant. Your accountant must be certified and must have a good educational background and experience when it comes to dealing with the money that goes in and out of your business. How you choose this kind of employee must be the same as how you search for the best stun gun in the market. The person will be part of your business now and he must be competent enough to fulfill his tasks.
After choosing the best accountant, as a business owner, you must be able to follow a good accounting system that you can also understand. It must present the flow of the money and you must be able to check it regularly. You must not leave all the tasks to the accountant. You must also keep track of where your business is going so that you will be able to learn if improvements are needed to increase the profit or changes must be made on how to run your business.
Aside from that, you must also make an effort on learning more about the concepts and terms that the accountant uses when giving to you the small business accounting report. There are a lot of things that you need to know. You must understand the data entered on the spreadsheet and grasp how your money flows. Make sure also to understand how you pay for the taxes in your business. By learning the basics, you will be in control of your small business and you can somehow foresee its future if it goes on just fine.
Lastly, do not mix your personal finances with that of your own business. If for instance you are running a small business on tazer for sale, do not get the money to pay your bills in the house from the profit that you have. Try to separate your personal expenses with that of your business so that you will really keep track of how your business progresses and of course you will know where your money went and what it was intended for. You must have a separate account for it.
These are the things that you can do in order to have an orderly manner of how you account for the money that goes in and out of your business funds. By following this, you will be able to keep track of where your money is going and where your business is headed to.

What It Is To Be An Entrepreneur

RRTeddy
One of the more specific definitions of the word, “Entrepreneur”, is "a person who organizes, operates and assumes the risk for a business venture". To paraphrase an old saying, ‘A great idea and a quarter will buy you a cup of coffee.’ You may have the best idea you’ve ever heard of since sliced bread, but do you have the entrepreneurial spirit and the tools, both internal and external, to bring that idea to life? Those external tools generally all simmer down to one thing: Money. Whether it be resources, assistance, or funding, ‘cash is king’. Money for the entrepreneur can be had through family, friends, partners, investors, and/or grants. But right here our focus is on the internal tools, which are best illustrated as traits:
An entrepreneur has to embrace risk in every endeavor. He/she has to be hardworking, capable, competent, and committed enough to labor on without any expectation of a regular paycheck whilst so doing; he/she has to envision a need and dream of a solution to that problem passionately, with a nearly irrational optimism about being able to achieve that end goal; the entrepreneur has to have the ability to carry on in solitude, if need be, if no acceptable or equally passionate partner or investor is readily available.
Entrepreneurs have to have an iron-willed tenacity in their beliefs in their abilities to attain the goals of their dreams and visions, while, at the same time, having or developing leadership skills as well as the ability to handle failure with thoughtful introspection and analysis. Failures are almost inevitable and almost always temporary, but true entrepreneurs take full responsibility for both their failures and their successes. Entrepreneurs have to love business, love success, and love money, for those are the tools that allow them to realize their goals as well as to protect their efforts. Entrepreneurs cannot succeed without these traits. Even the most civic-minded, altruistic, individuals whose loftiest ideals are achievement for ‘the common good’ cannot progress far enough with the tools of commerce.
Will success as an entrepreneur change you? Undoubtedly! How you handle that change is the challenge. Here are some of the world’s most famous, modern-day entrepreneurs – Look them up and see what kind of changes success had in store for them from their typically humble beginnings and start upgrading your belief systems if you think you’ve got what it takes to be an entrepreneur:
Mary Kay Ash, Richard Branson, Simon Cowell, Michael Dell, Bill Gates, Hugh Hefner, Jenna Jameson, Harvey Mackay, Donald Trump, Oprah Winfrey, et al.
Successful entrepreneurs seem to develop a sense of social responsibility and most often end up contributing, because they have the means that they didn’t have before their entrepreneurial successes, to problem-solving and causes that frequently have nothing to do with their basic entrepreneurial endeavors. Even better than achieving a goal through laser-like focus and tunnel-vision diligence, wouldn’t it feel GREAT to have enough money to contribute to good causes as a result of developing a love for money as a tool and wielding it as a warrior wields a sword against tyranny & injustice? This is all part of what it is to be an “Entrepreneur”.

Components Of Task Management Software

Task management software can help make your job easier. It can provide valuable insights into your projects, making you more profitable. Task management software can also automate your processes and reduce the administration around a project. We’ll discuss what to look for in a system.
When looking for task management software, the first thing you want to do is find a system that has the ability to track budgets and actual time by tasks. This is important so you can look at the project at any time and see how it is progressing. Tracking budget to actual time by task allows you to see if any task is over or under budget and act accordingly. If you have an overage, seeing it as soon as possible allows you to analyze the cause of the overage and make corrections. If the overage was caused by an increase in the project’s scope, you can be proactive in asking the client for a change order, before you have gone too far or completed the project and have lost your leverage. Budget to actual reviews are also important to learn from. When a project is complete, you can see where your estimates were incorrect and use this information for the next project. When you have multiple employees estimating new projects, these historical reviews can highlight trends in employees’ capabilities. If you see areas where an employee consistently underestimates projects, you know that you need to increase future estimates from that employee prior to releasing the estimate to clients. This awareness can be the difference between profits and losses.
While having the ability to track time by task is important, it is also important for the task management software to be flexible and allow you to track time at the right task level for your business. You also want a system that will allow for the right tasks to be used. You want the task management software to allow time to be tracked at an overall level for smaller projects or less complex projects. If the project is less than forty hours, it may not make sense to track in too much detail. You may take more time entering employees’ time and figuring out what happened than it is worth. In those cases, tracking at the job level is sufficient and you want the task management software to be able to accommodate you. On the other side, if the project is larger, complex, or has many employees working on it, you may want to break down the project into smaller tasks that can be analyzed. This will call for a system where you can have the number of tasks desired. Additionally, different types of projects will have different tasks. Your task management software should be flexible enough to allow you to define the tasks you need versus using the ones the software thinks you need. You should also have the ability to change these for each project you have, if you want.
Another component of the task management software you should look for is ease of use. The system should facilitate your processes and make you more efficient. Setting up projects, defining tasks, recording time and expenses, and billing that time should all be done in as short of time as possible. One way for the system to do this is to allow templates to be created for each type of project you have. You could also have a “Save As” function. Either way, the system should allow for recurring data to be populated on a project and only require you to enter information that is specific to that project.
On the invoicing side of a project, you will want to make sure the task management software allows for simple billing. The system should allow time to flow from timesheets into invoicing, avoiding the need to manually re-enter time and potential mistakes. The software should allow an invoice to be created and edited on the screen, without unnecessary steps. Making changes to the rate you bill, the hours charged versus written off, or the total amount to invoice should be easy. On the invoice, you want the option to include the level of detail the customer requires. Once the billing has been completed, the information from the project tracking software should automatically flow into the financial modules – accounts receivable and the general ledger. This allows you to track the balances due from customers, by projects as well as have an accurate accounting of your revenue.
Finally, the task management should give you the ability to retrieve information about each project that will provide you with the knowledge to analyze your business. Some of the data you will want to review and understand is actual time versus budgeted time by tasks and the overall project, amount of time written off on each customer or project, employee utilization, realization rates by employee, customer, or project, and customer profitability.
Good task management software allows you to gain insights that are key to running your business. It can also facilitate efficient processes to run your projects. The right software can help you become more efficient and ultimately more successful.
